I bridge the gap between organizational intentions and what people actually experience.

I'm a Senior UX Researcher and Strategist based in Seattle, currently at Motivf, a human-centered design consultancy working across public agencies, transit authorities, and mission-driven organizations.

My work spans the full arc from community-engaged research to board-level strategy. On one end, that means riding transit systems for two weeks straight, tabling at 25 community events, and conducting 18 in-depth interviews to make sure a CX Action Plan reflects what riders actually experience. On the other end, it means presenting that research to a board of directors and walking executives through human-centered design activities until the findings become decisions.

I have an unusual combination of skills for a UX researcher: fluency in GIS and spatial analysis, experience designing accessible data visualizations for Section 508 compliance, and a track record of working as the sole designer on technically complex platforms alongside engineers, GIS analysts, and data specialists.

I'm drawn to work where the stakes are real: public transit, environmental management, workforce development, community infrastructure. I apply the same research rigor to a custom e-commerce ordering portal as to a federal GIS platform, because the underlying question is always the same: what do the people using this actually need, and how do we make sure it works for them?
